Who’s Moving (June 2018) tracks who has moved careers in the healthcare, academic and life sciences sectors globally.

Ms Jude Emmer, the CEO of Noosa Hospital is moving to St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital as CEO. She is replacing Ms Chris Went who is taking up the position of CEO at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Ms Rita Sheridan is moving from her position as General Manager Property and Projects at Amana Living to join Estia as General Manager, Development and Strategy.

Prof Kate McGrath is moving to the University of Technology, Sydney as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research leaving their role as Vice Provost Research at Victoria University of Wellington.

Prof Mark Cassidy is moving to the University of Melbourne as Dean of the Melbourne School of Engineering leaving their role as Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems at the University of Western Australia.

Prof Todd Walker is moving to the University of New England as the Provost and deputy Vice-Chancellor leaving their role as deputy Vice-Chancellor at Federation University Australia.

Ms Celia Hurley is moving to the University of Technology Sydney as Vice-President, Advancement leaving their role as Chief Advancement Officer at Curtin University.

Mr Iain Watt is moving to the University of Technology Sydney as deputy Vice-Chancellor, International leaving their role as Pro Vice-Chancellor, International, at the University of Western Australia.

Mr Andrew Newton is moving to Southern NSW Local Health District as Chief Executive Officer leaving their role as Director of Operations at Blacktown Hospital.

Professor Michelle Lincoln is moving to The University of Canberra as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health leaving their role as Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney.

Professor Michael Wilmore is moving to The University of New England as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education (HASSE) leaving their role as the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communications at Bournemouth University, UK.

Ms Angela Nolan is moving within St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne as Chief Executive Officer leaving her role as Executive Director of Acute Services within St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Ms Amanda Cameron is moving to Barwon Health as Chief Operating Officer, leaving her role as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

Ms Jo Bell currently the General Manager and Director of Nursing at Bellbird Private Hospital is moving to St John of God Hospital Warrnambool as the CEO.

Mr Cameron Goodyear is moving to St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne as Executive Director Acute Operations, leaving Austin Health after 22 years, most recently as Executive Director, Clinical Operations and Imaging Services.

Ms Leigh Goldsmith is moving to Children’s Health, Queensland Hospital and Health Service as Executive Director, People and Culture leaving their role as Executive Director HR and Communications at Mackay Hospital and Health Service.

Professor Nick Birbilis has been appointed Deputy Dean, College of Engineering and Computer Science at the Australian National University and will commence this role in November 2018 leaving their current role as Head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Monash University.

Professor Grady Venville has moved to Australian National University as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education), leaving their role as Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the University of Western Australia.

Professor Mick Dodson AM has retired as Director of the National Centre for Indigenous Studies (NCIS) at the Australian National University. He will now join the ANU Emeritus Faculty and continue teaching at the ANU College of Law.
