Who’s Moving November 2018 tracks who has moved careers in the healthcare, academic and life sciences sectors globally.

At Ccentric we have had the pleasure of working with an excellent group of candidates over the last few months and wish them the very best in their new positions.

Ms Annette Nelson is leaving her position as Director of Nursing at North Eastern Community Hospital to join Vision Eye Institute as the General Manager and Director of Nursing at the Windsor Gardens site. Also joining Vision is Ms Carmel Kennedy as General Manager and Director of Nursing at Hurstville; whilst Mr Rodney Fox is taking up the position of General Manager Day Surgeries.

Mr Steve Morris has been appointed as the new CEO of NPS MedicineWise, leaving his role at SA Health as Executive Director SA Pharmacy & Chief Pharmacist.

Mr Peter Rophail has moved to South Western Sydney Local Health District as the new General Manager of The Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital, leaving his role at Westmead Hospital as Operations Director, Critical Care & Medicine.

Ms Anna Boltong is leaving her position as Head of Strategy and Support at Cancer Council Victoria to take up the position as Associate Director of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

Professor Rebecca Lane will take up the position of inaugural Chair of Physiotherapy at Victoria University, in early January 2019, with the aim of commencing their new Physiotherapy degree in 2021.  Professor Lane was most recently the Deputy Head of Physiotherapy and the Deputy Head of School of Allied Health (VIC/ACT) at the Australian Catholic University

Associate Professor Deborah (Deb) James will take up the position of inaugural Head of Speech pathology at Victoria University on 29th January 2019. The aim is to commence our new Speech pathology degree in 2020. Deb was most recently involved in the rollout of the Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Southern Cross University, where she contributed to developing and gaining accreditation of their new speech pathology program.

Associate Professor Kirsty Foster will commence with the University of Queensland as the new Director of Medical Education in March 2019, leaving her role at the University of Sydney as Academic Lead (International) and Head, Office for Global Health within the Medical School.

Leaving her role as Chief Executive Officer of Calvary Central Districts Hospital, Ms Elena Allen, has moved to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria to take up the position of CEO at The Bays Hospital Group.

Ms Michelle Wearing-Smith has taken up the role of Head of Marketing and Communications at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Michelle has been Marketing Manager previously in the retail and life sciences industries as well as government agencies.

Ms Donna Markham, who has been with Monash Health in various roles since 2011 has started a new role with Safer Care Victoria as Chief Allied Health Officer.

Ms Belinda Robinson has joined the University of Canberra in a newly created position of Vice-President, University Relations & Strategy; leaving her role as CEO of Universities Australia.

Associate Professor Simon Keating has moved to Northern Health as Chief Strategy, Business & Development Officer leaving Healthscope having been in various management roles since 2013.

Ms Lesley Dwyer is returning to Adelaide in November to join Central Adelaide Local Health Network as CEO, leaving her role as CEO of Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

Professor Stephen Kelly has been promoted to Dean of Massey business school at Massey University, where he was previously head of the school of management.

Ms Karlyn Chettleburg who has been the Executive Director, Mental Health and Integrated Care at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service is moving to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service as Executive Director, Operations.

Professor Carolyn Evans is moving to Griffith University as Vice Chancellor and President leaving their role as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Graduate and Internation) and Deputy Provost at University of Melbourne.

Professor Steve Nicholls who has been the Deputy Director and Heart Health These Leader at the South Australia Health and Medical Research Institute has moved to Melbourne as the new Director of MonashHeart and Professor of Cardiology at Monash University.
