The successful applicant will be offered a Clinical Academic appointment in Psychiatry within Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). CCLHD provides health services to two local government areas extending north from the Hawkesbury River, to the southern shore of Lake Macquarie and west to Wiseman’s Ferry. By 2016, the population will have grown to more than 360,000 and CCLHD will provide acute, subacute, and ambulatory healthcare, in collaboration with Primary and Community Care Services.
Recognised as a leader in the discipline of psychiatry, and as Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry, you will provide academic leadership and foster excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development in the academic discipline of psychiatry within the School of Medicine and Public Health, the University, CCLHD and the community.
This position will be based at the Central Coast Clinical School of the JMP, located at Gosford & Wyong Hospitals; teaching hospitals for the CCLHD and the University of Newcastle. CCLHD has an emerging research culture guided by the Board Research Committee and informed by a recent five year strategic plan. Moreover, there will be strong links with the Discipline of Psychiatry and the Centre for Translational Neuroscience and Mental Health at the University.
