Jenny Patton: Chief Commercial Officer, Healthscope

Jenny Patton, also recently placed by Ccentric, is now the Chief Commercial Officer at Healthscope. Jenny has worked for the Australian Digital Health Agency, Healthe Care Australia and Medibank Private.

We speak to some of our recent placements to discuss their careers, what attracted them to the role we placed them in and who has inspired them throughout their career.

Michelle Wearing-Smith: Head of Marketing and Communications, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute

What attracted you to the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute?

It was the far-reaching social impact of the translational research and the opportunity to make a difference.

Michelle’s full interview is available to read here.

Felicity Topp: Chief Executive Officer, Peninsula Health

What roles have you previously been involved in that have had a positive impact on your career?

I am a nurse and I completed my critical care training at the Royal Melbourne hospital, and then worked overseas for a few years, mainly in Saudi Arabia. Working in Saudi as a nurse manager in ICU was not easy and it certainly exposed me to a different culture and working and leading a diverse workforce. I have carried this experience with me throughout my career.

Felicity’s full interview is available to read here.

Jason Aquilina; Chief Financial Officer, Cabrini Health

Who has inspired you most in your career?

There are two people. The first is the CFO I started working for at Australian Air Express, because he really helped me with my studies and gave me the opportunities to grow my career. He was pivotal in my career.

The current CEO at Cabrini would be the second, because he finds a real balance ensuring the organisation is sustainable, as well as maintaining our culture and focus on our mission.  This is a balance that a Finance Professional in a NFP organisation also needs to embrace.

Jason’s full interview is available to read here.

What some of our Melbourne Clients say

Grant McArthur; Executive Director, Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre

How has your experience been with Ccentric?

Because we work in a complex environment, there were challenges in finding a person that had both research and academic expertise, alongside a strong track record in running operations in an intricate organisation. It was important that the candidate had both things.

Ccentric, were able to put forward some excellent candidates in our sector. I was very worried that I wouldn’t find the right people, but they had several appointable candidates.

Grant’s full interview is available to read here.

Barbara Yeoh; Former Chair, Monash Health

Thank you for undertaking the recent successful executive search for the position of Chief Executive, Monash Health.

We were impressed by the depth and span of Ccentric’s reach into both the domestic and international markets in bringing together a very strong list of potential candidates.

In particular, the selection committee valued the insights provided by the depth of Ccentric’s assessment of the potential candidates in response to the position brief, which greatly assisted the committee in coming to a final recommendation.
