Founded by Wayne Bruce in 2001, Ccentric Group started as an executive search firm working purely in the healthcare space, servicing organisations in public and private hospitals; aged care; life sciences and specialty medical services. Today Ccentric is a leading executive search known for helping organisations across healthcare, academia, digital health, not-for-profit and human services; finding candidates to suit the needs to clients.
In 2016, we launched CcInterim, the interim arm of the business, providing interim management and locum-type services from the C-Suite/Executive, Clinical and Academic Leadership tiers through to the Middle Management and Specialist Professional level.
In 2018, Ccentric expanded into the digital health landscape, a decision based on our existing relationships within the health industry and the clear need for an executive search firm to support these organisations through their digital transformation and expansion.
In early 2019, Ccentric joined forces with Wavelength International, a leading Australian medical recruitment company. Together Ccentric and Wavelength form Australia’s first vertically integrated healthcare specific recruitment firm. Wavelength offers local and international candidate resourcing, medical registration and immigration services for doctors and healthcare providers.
In 2021, we are celebrating 20 years by looking back on some of the amazing people who work for the business and some of the opportunities we have had to work with clients to make a difference.
Over the last 20 years we have had the privilege of working with hundreds of organisations across Australia and New Zealand, with over 75% of our business each year being from repeat clients. Working with these wonderful organisations has led to thousands of successful placements. On average, our placements have a tenure for 5 years or more, above the industry and the average of executive search placements of 2.5 years.
Probably one of the biggest successes of Ccentric, is our staff tenure. The average tenure of our team is 6 years! We are exceptionally lucky to have an amazing group of people, who enjoy staying with us!

Our Impact; What our Clients and Candidates think
Working within industries that impact and improve the quality of life for people and communities; quality and results drive our processes. We strive to ensure we are delivery the highest quality executive search process, each and every time we work with a client.
To support our commitment to quality, we implemented the Post Employment Evaluation Program (PEEP) in 2018. 12 months after a placement has commenced in their role we survey both the placed candidate and line manager to gain feedback on their first year. We also survey them on whether they would work with Ccentric again; with 100% of respondents saying yes they would work with us again in the future.
