Professor Caroline McMillen

Professor Caroline McMillen joined the University of Newcastle as Vice-Chancellor and President in October 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University, and completed her medical training at the University of Cambridge.

Over her nearly 30 year career she has held a variety of positions including: Professor, Chair and Head of the Department of Physiology at the University of Adelaide and Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President: Research and Innovation at the University of South Australia.

In this interview, Professor McMillen gives us a brief overview of her career; shared her vision for the future of the University of Newcastle; shares her advice for aspiring leaders and what her greatest achievement has been.
