SWSLHD is recognised as a leading provider of education, training and organisational development initiatives to a health workforce of over 15,000 staff. Some broad portfolios include clinical and corporate education initiatives; flexible learning solutions and simulation-based education; leadership and management development; talent development and succession planning; and future workforce initiatives. SWSLHD is a delivery site of the NSW Health Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and provides a wide range of nationally recognised vocational education and training qualifications. SWSLHD also works in partnership with various universities and education providers to deliver graduate certificate, diploma and masters programs.
Working closely with and reporting to the Executive Director, People & Culture for SWSLHD, the Director, Education & Organisational Development will be responsible for leading and driving the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education and organisational development activities across SWSLHD. This influential position will work at the intersection of academic and workforce planning, and play a key role in the shape and capability of the future workforce for the LHD, and thus heavily impact the quality of patient services to the growing community. As the Director of the service, you will have overall responsibility of an annual budget of circa $7.4M, $1.2M revenue target and a current staff profile of 6 direct reports and 65 FTE working across 6 hospital facilities and community services.
