We are delighted to partner with a national private hospital group in the search and selection of an experienced Health Information Manager (HIM) for a hospital in QLD. As a part of a network of hospitals, the successful candidate will join a collaborative, supportive and patient-focused organisation at an exciting time.
It is a local, world-class acute hospital with leading doctors and surgeons, the latest technology and impressive state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital is co-located with a public hospital and a University, forming a major part of the Health and Knowledge Precinct. It is still developing to meet patient demand.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the HIM leads a team of 8 staff and is responsible for delivering efficient and accurate coding for all patient discharges, and assisting the site in medical record management, data reporting, and related activities to ensure an industry-leading customer service experience.
This is an exciting managerial opportunity for someone who has strong clinical coding skills, and an ability to lead and mentor staff with an excellent understanding of health funding models and hospital operations.
