A leadership opportunity has arisen in this high-profile private hospital, in Sydney. As the interim Director of Allied Health, within this acute hospital service, you will oversee a team of circa 65 FTE, with 5 direct reports. The position will have two core elements to it. The business-as-usual element; providing strong leadership, support for the team and ongoing mentoring. The other element is to make assessments on the operating rhythm and consistency of the service and initiate changes where necessary. This might be across workforce planning, clinical best practise, new initiatives to explore and work closely with senior management in bedding down changes.
You will report to the DON and work closely with the COO and CEO. This is an interesting interim assignment as it allows for interim executives to get into a business improvement styled role, along with the business-as-usual elements. The successful candidate does NOT necessarily need to come from an allied health stream (though it will naturally help if they did). You may come from a previous DON position and have the capability to look at the leadership and workforce facets from day one.
