Description

We have been engaged by our client, Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, to undertake an important search for a NSW Laboratory Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to manage and provide leadership to a large team of senior scientific and laboratory staff based in Sydney.

The NSW Laboratory Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the Transplantation and Immunogenetics Services laboratory in Sydney (NTIS). The team deliver a testing and matching laboratory service for transplantation and immunogenetics.

The successful candidate will be experienced in managing a multidisciplinary service at a senior level, having science and/or health sector experience with knowledge of medical laboratories. Key to the role will be working as part of a national leadership team and other laboratory managers in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane to deliver the strategic vision for Transplantation and Immunogenetics Services (TIS) across the country. In order to deliver this, the candidate must have strong leadership and people-management skills as well as the ability to manage a specialised service in a busy, fast-paced environment within a frequently changing clinical landscape.
