Who’s Moving April 2020

Who’s Moving April 2020 tracks who has moved careers across the healthcare, academic healthcare, life sciences, not-for-profit, human services and digital health sectors, globally. At Ccentric we have had the pleasure of working with an excellent group of candidates over the last month and would like to congratulate the following on their new positions.

 

Ms Cherie Puckett is moving from her position as District Director Mental Health Drug, Alcohol, Cancer, Palliative Care, Renal and Breast Screening at Southern NSW Local Health District, to Murrumbidgee LHD as the new Director Clinical Operations-Sector 1

Ms Kashmira De Silva will be moving to Nepean Blue Mountains LHD and into the position of Director Medical Services at Nepean Hospital, leaving her DMS position at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

In May, Mr Oliver Steele will be moving to St Vincent’s Health Australia as CEO of the Brisbane and Northside Private Hospitals, leaving his role as CEO of Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

Ms Yvonne Warncken is leaving her position at North Eastern Community Hospital as the Director of Commercial Operations to join Women’s and Children’s Health Network (SA), as the new Chief Financial & Commercial Officer.

Other People on the Move

Ms Kirsty Dwyer has commenced as Chief People Officer at Griffith University, leaving her role at the University of Canberra as Director of Human Resources.

Mr Sean Hubbard has commenced as the new General Manager of The Wesley Hospital, leaving Mater Group. Mr Hubbard has been with Mater Group since 2013 commencing as Executive Director of Adult Women’s & Children’s Health Service, then moving on to COO then CEO of Mater Health.

Dr Michael Spence will be stepping down from his current role as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sydney in December 2020 to move to the United Kingdom, taking up the position of President & Provost at University College London.

Professor Helen Bartlett is moving to the University of the Sunshine Coast as Vice-Chancellor and President, leaving her role as Vice-Chancellor and President at Federation University Australia.

Dr Julian Adler CEO of Castlereagh Imaging has been promoted to CEO, Imaging with Sonic Healthcare.

Professor Viv Ellis will commence as the new Dean of the Faculty of Education at Monash University, leaving King’s College London where he is the Professor of Educational Leadership and Teacher Development.

Professor Aleksander Subic has left his role at Swinburne University of Technology as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise) to join RMIT as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Science, Engineering and Health) and Vice President Digital Innovation.

Mr Aaron Hatcher has left Benson Radiology as General Manager Operations, joining Genesis Care as General Manager Cardiology.

Professor Pascale Quester will be leaving her role as Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) at the University of Adelaide to take up the position of Vice-Chancellor at Swinburne University.

Professor Markus Schlaich will be leaving his role as Dobney Chair in Clinical Research at the University of Western Australia to lead a novel program of research at the University of Sydney.

Ms Emma Poland has joined Albury Wodonga Health as Chief Operating Officer, leaving her role in Adelaide as Regional Operations Manager at Calvary Health Care.

Professor Jason Kovacic is leaving his role as Professor of Medicine, Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York to take up a lead research role at the University of NSW/Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

Dr Tessa Barrett will leave her role as Research Assistant Professor at New York University School of Medicine to take up a research position at the Heart Research Institute.

Dr Sarah Zaman is leaving her position as Interventional & Consultant Cardiologist at MonashHeart to undertake a critical research role at the University of Sydney.

Professor Bronwyn Fox has been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) at Swinburne University of Technology. Professor Fox joined Swinburne in 2015 as Professor / Director Factory of the Future; she has most recently been Professor / Director of the Manufacturing Futures Research Institute.

Mr Luke Edwards has left St John of God Healthcare where he has been acting CEO at SJOG Frankston Hospital to join Epworth Healthcare as Executive General Manager of the Geelong Hospital.
