Who’s Moving December 2020 tracks who has moved careers across the healthcare, academic healthcare, life sciences, not-for-profit, human services and digital health sectors, globally. At Ccentric we have had the pleasure of working with an excellent group of candidates over the last month and would like to congratulate the following on their new positions.
Dr Christina Igasto has joined Western Sydney Local Health District as Chief Digital Health Officer, leaving Customer Crunch as Director Digital Transformation & Innovation.

Ms Helen Kemp has moved to Benetas as General Manager Community Care and Health. Ms Kemp has a wide range of experience in healthcare most recently helping Central Adelaide Local Health Network as Interim Lead Workforce Management and Reform.
Ms Bettina McMahon former COO and Interim CEO of the Australian Digital Health Agency will commence as the Chair of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health in November 2020.
Professor Shitij Kapur has been appointed as the new President & Principal at King’s College London. He will be leaving his post at The University of Melbourne to join them in June 2021. Professor Sir Edward Byrne AC whom Professor Kapur is replacing, is moving back to Australia where he is taking up a part-time position at the Australian National University as Distinguished Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow in February 2021. Professor Byrne has also been appointed Group Chief Medical Officer at Ramsay Health Care following the retirement of Dr John Horvath AO.
Mr Mike Weiss has been appointed CEO of Clanwilliam Health in New Zealand. Mr Weiss has been Deputy CEO since January 2020, and was Managing Director of Konnect Net prior to that.
Professor Mike Wilson has joined Charles Darwin University as Provost. Professor Wilson has recently been Provost at Zayed University and was previously Pro Vice Chancellor for the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Architecture and Design at Victoria University of Wellington.
Ms Kimberley Pierce has left her role as COO at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to join Healthscope as Chief Executive Officer of Gold Coast Private Hospital, Tweed Day Hospital and Pacific Private Day Hospital.
Ms Jackie McLeod has commenced as Chief Operating Officer at Melbourne Health, where she has been the Executive Director EMR Project across all Parkville Hospitals since 2017.
Mr Kemsley Fairhurst has joined Austin Health as Chief Financial Officer. Kemsley has been in senior finance roles across health services in Melbourne for the last eight years.
Ms Jae Redden is joining the Health Information Management Association of Australia as Chief Executive Officer. She has most recently been CEO of Medical Journal of Australia publisher AMPCo.
Ms Amanda Hagan has joined Alinta Energy as the Executive Director Retail Markets, leaving her position at Australian Unity. Ms Hagan has been with Australian Unity since 2006 most recently as Group Executive Customer, Digital & Technology.
Dr Terry Sweeney has joined the Digital Health CRC as the Chief Executive Officer, he was most recently Global Managing Director of IBM Watson Health.
Ms Sandy Gillies has been appointed as the new CEO of Western Queensland Primary Health Network, commencing in January 2021. Ms Gillies has been the Executive Manager Service Provider Commissioning at the PHN since May 2017.
Mr Robin Moore has joined the Northern Territory Primary Health Network as Executive Manager Strategy Implementation and Partnerships. Mr Moore is currently a board director of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, and previously was CEO of Northern Queensland PHN.
Mr Brett Winn has been appointed as Chief Information Officer at Healthscope, leaving his position at Blackmores Group at CIO.
Ms Rachel Green has been appointed as Chief Executive Director at SANE Australia, leaving her position as CEO at Independent Community Living Australia.
Mr Chris Sullivan has joined Central West Hospital and Health Service as Executive Director Finance, Infrastructure and Support Services, leaving Mater Group where he has most recently been Director of Business – Surgical, Neuro, Cancer and Acute Services.
Professor Belinda Tynan will be joining Australian Catholic University in the new year as Provost, leaving her position at RMIT where she has been the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) and Vice President.
Mr Geoff Smith former Group Chief Financial Officer of Virgin Australia has been appointed CFO at Queensland University of Technology.
