Who’s Moving – December 2022
Who’s Moving December 2022 tracks who has moved careers across the healthcare, academic healthcare, life sciences, not-for-profit, human services and digital health sectors, globally. At Ccentric we have had the pleasure of working with an excellent group of candidates over the last month and would like to congratulate the following on their new positions.
Mr Andrew Spillane will commence in the role of Commercial & Business Improvement Executive at Adventist Healthcare on 5th December 2022.
Mr Richard Perin will commence in the Principal Business Partner role at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network on 7th November 2022.
Ms Kylie Zhao commenced in the Finance Director role at Prince of Wales Private Hospital on the 19th of September 2022. Kylie joins Healthscope from The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of NSW.
Mr Anzum Afsam will commence in the role of Health Information Manager at Nepean Private Hospital on the 1st of October 2022. He joins Healthscope from Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
Mr Ketan Thakkar joined St. Luke’s Care in the role of CFO. Ketan joined St Luke’s from HammondCare.
Mr David Attard will commence in the Principal Business Partner role at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network on 7th November 2022.
On the 26th of September, Mr Mark McAndrew joined North Metro Health Service in the role of Medical Co-Director of Inpatient Mental Health. Mark joined NMHS from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Following a 5-month interim placement, on the 10th of September Ms Helen Russell commenced her new role as Director of Nursing, Westmead at The Skin Hospital.
Following On the 10th of October, Mr Raj Krishnaswamy joined Western Sydney LHD as Director of Finance Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospitals. Raj returned to Sydney from Mackay where he was Finance and Operations Manager at Mater Private Hospital Mackay.
Ms Caroline Langston will join Alfred/Monash Shared Pathology as CEO on the 24th of October 2022. Caroline was the ED – Integrated Care, Mental Health, Planning, Information & Performance for Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District
Ms Liz Brown joins Monash IVF Group as NSW Regional Manager
Ms Ann Mirapuri was appointed as Chief Digital Health Officer with NSHLH/CCLHD on the 3rd of October having previously been Acting in the role.
Professor Debra Jones has been appointed Head of the University Department of Rural Health, Broken Hill, University of Sydney.
Mr Richard Prideaux will commence as General Manager, Let’s Get Care with the myHomecare Group on the 2nd of November 2022.
Prof Karen-Leigh Edward leaves Swinburne University to join Victoria University as Professor of Nursing and & Head of Nursing and Midwifery Program on 5th December 2022.
Ms Donna Worrall has joined Campbelltown Private Hospital (HSO) as their new Director of Nursing, moving from her prior role as Director of Corporate Services at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
Adjunct Professor John G Kelly AM joins The Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) as their new CEO on 21st November 2022.

Mr Matthew Tallis has joined Brisbane Private Hospital as the new Chief Executive Officer. He has most recently been the COO of West Moreton HHS.
Mr Michael Eades has joined Calvary Adelaide Hospital as their new Director of Clinical Services, moving from his EDON position at Yorke & Northern LHN.
Ms Geraldine Lannon has joined Baptcare as their new Chief Executive Officer after an extensive career in the Western Australian public health and community services sectors.
Dr Genevieve Wallace has started in the ED, Operations role at Sydney LHD, moving into the position internally from her prior role at Concord Hospital as the GM.
Mr Kiel Harvey has started as General Manager of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He was most recently the General Manager of Canterbury Hospital.
Dr Robert Marshall has joined St Vincent Health Australia as the Executive Director of Strategy, moving from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he held various positions over an extensive tenure.
Dr Robyn Lawrence has commenced her role as Chief Executive for the Department of Health & Wellbeing (South Australia). She was most recently Assistant Director General, Clinical Excellence at the Department of Health WA.
Ms Donna Christensen has joined Unitas Healthcare’s Sunshine Private Hospital as Director of Clinical Services and Patient Experience, moving from her Group Director Quality and Clinical Governance for Epworth Healthcare.
Professor Mark Arnold will be joining Western Sydney Local Health District in January 2023 as the district’s first Chief Medical Officer, leaving his current position as Head of the Rural Clinical School and Professor of Rural Medicine at the University of Sydney.
Ms Sarah Wallace has started in the District Director of Finance and Performance role at Southern NSW LHD, an internal promotion from her prior position as Deputy Director of Finance and Analytics.
Ms Janet Muir has joined RSL LifeCare as the new Chief Executive Officer, moving from her Chief Executive Officer role at Audika.
Mr Shane Mitchell has been appointed as the new General Manager at Buderim Private Hospital after acting in the position during the recruitment process and working as their Director of Clinical Services.
Ms Julie Sturgess has joined Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and Sunshine Coast Primary Health Network as their Chief Executive Officer, leaving her previous role of CEO at North Coast Primary Health Network.
Mr Chris Blake has begun his role as Group Chief Executive Officer of St Vincent’s Health Australia, moving on from his role as Executive General Manager, Corporate Services at Latitude Financial Services.
Ms Sarah Woon has joined Dr Jones & Partners (I-Med) as the Chief Operating Officer after acting in the COO position with Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
Ms Vanessa Tetaz has joined St Vincent’s Care Services as the Executive General Manager, People & Culture, moving from her position as Deputy Chief People Officer at Barwon Health.
Ms Brianna Pike has started as the National Commercial Manager for HealtheCare. She joins the organisation from her prior role as Deputy Director of Finance at Northern Beaches Hospital.
Ms Prudence Buist has joined COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN as the new Chief Executive Officer, starting in January 2023. She joins the organisation, leaving her role as CEO of Nowra Private Hospital and Southern Highlands Private Hospital within Ramsay Healthcare.
Mr Steven Brouwer joins Nexus Hospitals as the General Manager/Director of Nursing of the Bondi Junction Private Hospital, leaving his position as a registered nurse at Hurstville Private Hospital.
Mr Michael Lewczek joins St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital as the new Chief Executive Officer, moving from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
Ms Claire Thurwood has started as the National Chief Executive Officer, Ramsay Surgical Centres within Ramsay Health Care, moving from her position as CEO, of St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital.
Dr George Eskander has started as the Area Director of Clinical Services at North Metropolitan Health Service, moving from his role as Acting Director of Clinical Services at Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Hospital Care Group (SCGOPHCG).
Mr Glenn Thompson has joined BUPA as Managing Director, Health Services, leaving his role as Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer at Programmed.
Ms Monika Wheeler has started as Chief Executive Officer as Healthy North Coast (North Coast Primary Health Network), moving up from her position as Executive Director, Wellness with the organisation.
