Whos Moving February 2021

Who’s Moving February 2021 tracks who has moved careers across the healthcare, academic healthcare, life sciences, not-for-profit, human services and digital health sectors, globally. At Ccentric we have had the pleasure of working with an excellent group of candidates over the last month and would like to congratulate the following on their new positions.

Dr Paul Chuah is commencing as Medical Co-Director (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) at Women and Newborn Health Service (WA). He leaves Maitland Hospital, NSW where he held the position of Director, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Daryl-Anne Elias has commenced as the new Director Medical Services at Liverpool Hospital. She moves into the position from her role as Deputy Director Medical Services at Blacktown-Mt Druitt Hospital.

Other People on the Move

Ms Jade Phelan  has joined The Bays Healthcare Group as Chief Executive Officer leaving Virtus Health where she has been the Managing Director Commercial Operations and the State Managing Director Victoria and Tasmania.

Ms Sarah Chard has left her role with Masimo where she was General Manager Australia and New Zealand to take up the same position with Nanosonics.

Professor Tony Travaglione has commenced a new position with the University of Newcastle as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement and Partnerships. Professor Travaglione has been Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law since 2017.

Ms Tanya Buchanan has joined Cancer Council Australia as the new Chief Executive Officer, following the departure of Sanchia Aranda. Ms Buchanan was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Sam Galluccio  is leaving Townville Hospital and Health Service where he has been Executive Director Human Resources and Engagement to join Sydney Children’s Hospital Network as Executive Director Human Resources.

Professor Stephen Garton has commenced as the new Vice Chancellor and Principal at the University of Sydney, most recently being the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor at the university. Professor Garton replaces Professor Michael Spence who is taking up his new role at University College London.

Ms Maree Feery is leaving Epworth Healthcare where she has been Executive Director People and Culture with Ms Bridgid Connors taking over her position. Ms Connors has been Chief Human Resources Officer at Monash University since 2017.

Mr Christian Rasmussen is joining WA Health as the new Chief Information Officer, leaving his role at Lotterywest as CIO.

Dr Malcolm Thatcher will be joining the Australian Digital Health Agency as Chief Technology Officer. Dr Thatcher is the former CIO at Queensland Health and Mater Health.

Mr David Naughton has left Adelaide where he was Clinical Program Delivery Manager Neurosciences at Central Adelaide Local Health Network to take up the role of Chief Executive Officer at Kilmore and District Hospital.

Professor Michelle Campbell has joined the University of Notre Dame Australia as Pro Vice Chancellor Academic Development, leaving the Australian Catholic University where she as been Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences since 2011.

Mr Justin Mottram has left his role as CEO of Keystone Radiology to join Healthcare Imaging Services as Victorian State Manager.

Dr Sue Page has joined International SOS as Medical Director for Government Services (Pacific). Dr Page has been with Queensland Health for the last 4 years, most recently as Acting DMS for Rockhampton Hospital.

Ms Kerstin Baas has left her role as Chief Commercial Officer at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research joining the Australian Society of Orthodontists as Chief Executive Officer.

Ms Robin Whyte has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Northern Queensland Primary Health Network. She is the former CEO of Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.

Mr Kym Pfitzner has joined the Australian Red Cross as Chief Executive Officer where she has been interim CEO since September 2019.

Professor Peter Hoj has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Adelaide. Professor Hoj has been the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Queensland most recently.
